This session provides attendees with a description of a post-secondary readiness system that includes a framework of academic and nonacademic skills needed for all students. The framework includes nonacademic factors such as college knowledge, positive mindset, self-management skills, behavior skills and discusses the importance of teachers’ instruction for students’ college readiness. Educators are reminded of the importance of assisting students to develop the mindset and behaviors that can help them be college and career ready.
