Currently Janel is leading the Blended Learning grant program in the district and is personalizing learning for both students and teachers alike. Before her current role, Janel was a middle school math teacher and athletic coach for Little Elm. Throughout her career, Janel has had the opportunity to build up her craft of teaching, specializing in data-driven practices, feedback, assessment, and a standards based mindset. Janel is passionate about inspiring students to not only have a growth mindset, but to also be a critical, creative, and collaborative thinker in mathematics. In her free time, Janel spends time with family and friends on her ranch, trail running, country & western dancing, and coaching her daughter's volleyball team.
